The centerpiece of this pendant is crafted from Grenadite, a semi-precious jewel found exclusively in Grenada and discovered by the Ameriindian’s approximately 1500 years ago. These indigenous people left behind numerous ornate pottery shards, some of which bore the most important symbol, a spiral, referred to by them as the “Sign of Life” – a symbol for a fullfilled life, health and strength.

The Grenadite  has been meticulously hand-cut into a perfectly round disc through an intricate process. This jewel is more than a semi-precious gem; it’s a piece of Grenada’s rich cultural history and a tribute to the indigenous people who inhabited the region centuries ago.

The “Sign of Life” has been delicately mounted onto the Grenadite, infusing the pendant with profound symbolic significance. This connection between jewel and symbol honors the cultural heritage of the Ameriindian’s.
